In celebration of International Migrants Day, IOM and the TOGETHER initiative hosted a film screening and panel discussion focused on highlighting the stories of migrant journeys and bringing attention to the positive aspects of migration. The event featured special remarks by former Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson. Panelists engaged in a passionate and thoughtful discussion regarding migrants rights, immigration policies, changing the narrative, advocacy strategies, and shared their own powerful personal stories of migration. This event was part of IOM’s Global Migration Film Festival, an initiative which reached 89 countries worldwide.
